‘In search of money’ – this was the topic of the 3rd conference of the cycle: ‘The Challenges of the Contemporary Accounting and Audit’ held at the Sheraton Hotel in Sopot. The event was organised by the Regional KIBR Chapter in Gdańsk, Sopot University of Applied Science, and the Chair of Accounting, University of Gdańsk. This year’s meeting focused primarily on alternative sources of financing in business and public-private partnership. The conference also marked the celebrations of 20 years of the National Chamber of Statutory Auditors [KIBR]. The event gathered high class experts – academicians, business practitioners, and local authorities, to name e.g.: Ryszard Petru, a PwC Partner who gave the inauguration lecture, Filip Gorczyca (Auditor, PwC), Jakub Kizielewicz (Masterlease), Zbigniew Markowski (OM Finance), Prof. Leszek Pawłowicz (IBnGR), Prof. Krystyna Brzozowska (University of Szczecin), Dr Irena Herbst (PPP Centre Foundation), Grzegorz Buchcic (GTC), Tomasz Zielke (Auditor, ESO Audit Partner), Jacek Karnowski (Mayor of the City of Sopot), and Marzena Rytel (PwC).
